My First Halloween

Dressed up as Santa since his Santa suit wouldn't fit him by the time Christmas rolls around! He looked SOOO stinkin' cute! Went trick-or-treating with his cousins Madison and McKenzie, and got his first king-sized snickers bar, which mommy and daddy helped him eat :)

Playing catch up- 8 weeks old

I've been busy with photography clients as of late, but am finally getting caught up and posting 3 weeks worth of pictures! This was from his 8 week portrait session. He loves playtime and just loves to stand up, take little steps while supported, and stare at our faces. He is also starting to chew on his hands as though they were candy! I love how you can really see his little biceps in some of these pictures- he is so strong!

Don't mess with this baby!- 7 weeks old

This picture pretty much sums up John Patrick's attitude this week. Don't want to mess with him, that's for sure. GIVE ME FOOD OR ELSE! He's ready for the punch. 7 weeks old and his faces just keep getting spunkier!

Putting on my happy face for mommy! 6 weeks old

John Patrick is really a happy baby- and he is exploring his many funny faces more and more each day. He found his voice as of 3 1/2 weeks, and he loves communicating with us during playtime! He mimics ours sounds, and Daddy even taught him how to imitate him sticking out his tongue! (Have yet to catch that one on camera). Here ae a slew of happy faces from his long stretch of playtime with mommy today. He is finally starting to realize that it is me behind the big scary looking black contraption we call a camera.

I'm 6 weeks old today!

And I celebrated by taking a 2 1/2 hour nap with Mommy! And by flirting with all the nurses at the midwives' office! I am truly a "chick magnet"!

5th Annual Trip to Shenandoah- 1st annual with Baby!

We had a beautiful trip to Front Royal, VA- gateway to Shenandoah. We have actually been doing a trip in the outdoors the weekend of my birthday for 10 years- since we first started dating. Now that we live in DC area, we go every year for this kind of lame fall festival that for some reason we really like. I love the antique stores, and always pick up something from these sweet ladies that now know us after so many years visiting. Today I picked up an antique children's stool as a photo prop. Love it! Now I need some portrait clients!!

Anyways, John Patrick slept the ENTIRE day! He was up for a bit at the winery and played for a while in the hammocks down by the creek. We love 3 Fox vineyards because they have these beautiful grounds where you can sprawl out and relax for as long as you want. You buy a bottle of wine, and we brought cheeses and fruit, and relaxed in our favorite spot. Little man liked the hammock too!

5 weeks old today!

So hard to believe 5 weeks have gone by already. Our little man is getting so big, and today he even laughed for the first time! It was so cute- he was just smiling away at me this morning during his "happy time" (around 9-10am), and suddenly he just started cracking up! I love all the new things he does every day. Time for bed, but wanted to get these pictures up from today- he is just too cute and makes so many funny faces!
